Epsilen
Epsilen Environment is an innovative global eLearning system that combines the best practices of course delivery with fully-integrated ePortfolios and Web 2.0 social networking. Designed to match the experiences and expectations of today’s learners, the system provides unprecedented opportunities for faculty and student collaboration, interest sharing, and networking -- on campus and around the world.
Students can create online identities in ePortfolios that contain their work, multimedia products, and life story – artifacts that may be shared with faculty, peers, and/or potential employers as needed. In addition, traditional classroom instruction is complemented by a powerful global learning management system with Web 2.0 tools that support learning and maximize achievement. Epsilen Environment is delivered cost effectively through a hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and is supported by outstanding customer service.
Epsilen Environment is the result of six years of R&D at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis CyberLab under the direction of Ali Jafari, Ph.D. Epsilen is majority-owned by The New York Times Company.
