The 2011 Horizon Report has identified mobile learning as one of the five trends that will be adopted within one year or less. Mobile learning is the interaction of mobile computing and e-learning that includes anytime anywhere resources; strong search capabilities; rich interaction; powerful support for effective learning; and performance-based assessment. In collaboration with a group of faculty members, the instructional design staff in the Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning Technologies (CTELT) has piloted a new technology with several pedagogical methods to engage students in the mobile learning environment. What is the technology that has been piloted? What activities have been designed to engage students in learning? Come join us for the interactive presentation and you will find out.
