Accessibility Issues and Concerns of Hybrid Course Materials and Websites

This session will be both a discussion and demonstration of accessibility issues of the hybrid course materials that often come prepackaged with a textbook purchase such as: My History Lab, My Math Lab etc. Some accessibility issues include inability of materials to be used with screen readers and videos that are not captioned. We will discuss how to handle this issue both on a practical level of resolution for the student and how one can advocate to the book publisher to make materials more accessible.
