Open Courseware - What Does It Mean for the Online Instructor

Presenter Name(s):
Jim Van Horn Abstract:
More and more courses are being added to the repository of Open CourseWare (OCW). Online course developers and instructors need to understand the advantages of OCW as either a developer who shares course content or a user who re-uses the available content in their course. Some of the questions to be answered are: What are the rules governing the use of OCW content? Does it devalue my department and institution if I use materials developed and used by another institution? Is this the future of education?
