Emporia State University recently adopted LearningObjects CampusPack Fusion (CampusPack 4) to support wikis, blogs, journals, podcasts, and personal learning spaces. Interestingly, CampusPack Fusion can be used either inside or outside of the LMS, allowing faculty the option of creating their own blogs, podcasts, and wikis. (Departments and Colleges can create custom Fusion sites to support their alumni.) The Personal Learning Space (PLS) feature enables students to create their own social presence with personal blogs, wikis, podcasts, and journals. Students can export these resources at the end of a course. Podcasts, blogs, and wikis can be easily syndicated to any number of RSS readers or podcatchers. Granular permission controls can control access of the resource to an individual, a group, a course, the domain, or the world.
