Blending Physical and Virtual Learning Spaces—Considering the Source of Resources By Dr. Linda Davis-Stephens Colby Community College SIDLIT August 5-6, 2010 Classrooms designed for textbook learning can be adapted for the blended environments of virtual learning and face to face. The lecture style delivery of course content transforms the built environment to foster ideas and promote student centered learning. Besides renovations of the classroom attention to architecture and learning spaces are important to distance learning. Course and instructional design is considered along with classroom design.
