Colleague to Colleague (C2C) and Johnson County Community College annually sponsor the free Summer Institute on Distance Learning and Instructional Technology (SIDLIT). The Institute enables faculty and staff involved in instructional technology to share expertise on a "colleague to colleague" basis.
The 11th Annual SIDLIT will be held on Thursday and Friday, August 5 - 6, 2010 at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS. The two-day institute includes presentations, topic-oriented special interest discussion groups, hands-on workshops, and demonstrations.

Vice-Chair nominations being accepted.
It is once again that time of the year for C2C to look for new leadership. We are inviting anyone who enjoys working with both distance learning and instructional design in higher education to consider applying for the Vice-Chair position. I have enjoyed working with individuals from all across the mid-west in providing professional development opportunities, sharing information and exploring exciting new ideas.
We would like to specifically encourage any of our colleagues from any four-year institutions to apply for this position to help balance the leadership between both our community colleges and universities.
The term for Vice-Chair in C2C will begin at the conclusion of our SIDLIT conference in August of 2010. All candidates will be contacted for verification and additional information that will be included on the voting ballot.
This position works with the incoming Chair (Michael Rea) of C2C in planning events during the year and serves on the C2C steering committee. This role also works to publish a regularly scheduled newsletter for C2C events and activities throughout the year. The majority of planning for events takes place either online or by regularly scheduled conference calls. The Vice-Chair assumes the Chair position at the conclusion of the SIDLIT conference or sooner if special circumstances are warranted.
The Colleague to Colleague organization is strictly a volunteer group and no compensation for travel or expenses can be provided by C2C.
